Support
DriftNote is intentionally small, but if anything is unclear or broken, we want to know. Most questions are covered below — if not, get in touch.
Frequently asked
Where are my notes stored?
Notes are stored locally on your device. They do not sync to a server, and no account is required. If you switch devices, you can export your notes from Settings.
How do I use the lock screen widget?
On iOS, long-press the lock screen, tap “Customize,” then add the DriftNote widget. From the lock screen you can tap it to drop a checkpoint without unlocking your phone.
How does voice capture work?
Tap the microphone icon in the compose screen. Speak naturally — DriftNote transcribes on-device. The recording is saved alongside the transcribed text so you can play it back later.
How do I change notification settings?
Go to Settings → Reminders. You can pick the start and end of your active window, the cadence of nudges, or turn reminders off entirely.
Can I back up or export my notes?
Yes. Settings → Export gives you a plain-text file of every note grouped by day. We recommend exporting periodically.
